Health surveillance
Health surveillance is required where the risk to health remains significant despite implementation of appropriate controls.
It is an absolute legal statutory obligation for employers under the following regulations:
Under the above regulations, having identified which of your employees require health surveillance, we can help you fulfil your legal obligations. We will also review your in-house health and safety risk assessments to advice if health surveillance is required.
The detailed findings of health surveillance are securely stored in the employee’s confidential medical record. Confidential medical information can only be accessed by medical OHNI staff. This enables us to audit the results at appropriate intervals. Grouped anonymised data will be shared with the employer at appropriate intervals to demonstrate that the employer is meeting the relevant statutory health and safety obligations. This data can also be used to demonstrate that the employer’s workplace health and safety controls are adequate.
Let OHNI help you demonstrate to your staff and the regulator that you are serious about health and safety at work
